入学手续

Formalities for Admission

    Applicants who would like to study at CCNU can contact the College of International Cultural Exchange (CICE) of the university directly, either by email, fax, mail or telephone. Formalities are as follows:

1) To submit the related final graduation certificate of education, academic record, and other materials required in the Qualifications for Admission, 50 US dollars or registration fee and the Application Form for International Students to Study at CCNU .

2) Once accepted, the applicant will receive the Admission Notice from CCNU, Visa Application for International Students to Study in China (JW202),and Physical

Examination Record for Foreigners. With all these materials, the applicant could apply for a student visa (Visa “X”) in the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in his home country. Be sure to arrive at CCNU for registration before the date spcified in the Admission Notice.

Qualifications for Admission

1. Undergraduate Students:

    1) high school diploma or higher academic degree certificate

    2) high school transcript

2. Postgraduate Students:

    1) Bachelor’s degree or higher academic degree

    2) University transcript

    3) 2 recommendation letters from 2 associate professors or professors

3. Ph.D Students:

    1) Master’s degree or higher academic degree

    2) Postgraduate school transcript

    3) Personal research plan and 2 recommendation letters from 2 professors.

4. General Studies Students:

    1) College diploma or higher academic degree

    2) College transcript

    3) Study plan at CCNU

5. Senior Studies Students:

    1) Master’s degree or higher academic degree

    2) Postgraduate school transcript

    3) Research plan at CCNU

6. Research Scholars:

    1) Associate professors or Ph.D students

    2) Relevant qualifications

    3) Research plan at CCNU

7. Language students: both long-term and short-term programs are available     all year round to all ages

Notes for HSK:

1. Those who want to study science, engineering or economy field must pass the band 3 of HSK(Chinese Proficiency Test) before admission

2. Those who are interested in studying the speciality of Chinese Language and Literature have to pass the band 6 of HSK

3. Any applicant mentioned above who has not yet met the need of Chinese proficiency for admission to his /her major can study Chinese language at this university for one year. After passing HSK, he or she can begin his /her major

I. Part of students tuition will be paid in terms of
   bilateral agreement

II. Those who want to lodge out of the campus must
   prepare all the required documents before moving.

III. All fees can be paid in Chinese Yuan (RMB) or US
   dollars

IV. The tuition fee is non-refundable if the student
    leaves the school halfway before completion of his
   studies.

V. Costs of transport, medical care, medical insurance,
    textbooks, student card, library card are at the
   expense of students.

VI. The food on campus dining halls is cheap (about USD
   1—2 a day)

Scholarships and Loan
1) CSC Scholarship: CCNU is one of the 86 universities which can accept Chinese Government Scholarship students. International students can apply for scholarship through his national government and also by inquiring the Chinese Scholarship Council at: http://www.csc.edu.cn, or E-mail to: Laihua@csc.edu.cn with the telephone：（86）-10-66413253 and the Fax：（86）10-66413255.

2) CCNU Scholarship: Free tuition or Free housing to 3 international Students every year.

3) Government Loan. This is only for students from USA. CCNU is the only university in China in which the US Education Department can offer students loan to study. CCNU’s Federal school code is G25925. Students can look up Huazhong Normal University on the second column on the page 96 and Central China Normal University (CCNU) was renamed from Huazhong Normal University in 1990s.
